Things to do in Ecuador!

I just flipped through a few of the online wikis about the Galapagos, Quito, and Guayaquil. Here they are, take a gander, and write back with anything you can point me to. I like the sound of the 'nice bars you can sit in and have good conversation'. There are also places to rent mountain bikes. One of the pages mentioned a 'beautiful white sandy beach 30-45mins walk from town.' Sounds like our kinda place!

Wow Candice. A cool new digital toy. I have cats too. They're kinda hard to snap pics of them sometimes because they move so fast. Lizards on the other hand are cold blooded so they won't be too active in the morning until they have warmed up. So my guess is to photograph them early when they are lethargic. The light is better at that time too.

The bbc today had a pretty cool shot of the volcano:

Martin, thanks for the link to the volcano photo on Isabela. Do you think we will still be able to visit the island?

I remember that Don is our DAM team photographer. I'm sure he will be an excellent resource for all of our photo taking opportunities. Plus I'm sure he will have many to share with the group. Any chance we can post our photos somewhere after the trip? Or make a CD? That would be fun to share.

Wow, an active volcano! I didn't think I could get any more excited about this trip but I am! I love volcanos. In my 'road not taken' moments I sometimes think I would have enjoyed being a volcanologist!

Great picture, thanks Martin. This trip is going to have everything: Great wildlife-marine iguanas, giant tortugas, all sorts of birds, shopping (Otavalo) and volcanos! I hope we can get to see the volcano! We can send Don to the crater's edge for the perfect shot.
